David’s House is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Although we are located on the campus of Dartmouth Health Children’s, we are a completely separate organization that does not receive state or federal funding, or funding from the hospital. Because of the support we receive from people like you, we are able to provide support for approximately 200-300 families every year without ever charging any fees. Charitable gifts are tax deductible in accordance with IRS rules and regulations.

Giving A Gift That Lasts Forever – Leave Your Legacy – Endowing the House’s Future

A common misconception regarding legacy gifts is the thought that including David’s House in plans would mean excluding one’s children, family, or friends. In fact, even a small legacy gift to David’s House makes a huge impact.

David’s House enjoys broad community support and has been successful in raising the funds needed for our operation each year. However, even as we continue to enhance our fundraising efforts, the need to diversify our plan beyond pure grassroots fundraising has become clear.

Because our endowment fund earns a high-interest rate and because of our conservative spending limit…

A planned gift that is 25x your current annual gift would allow your gift
to be made annually, for the lifetime of David’s House.

I have been a volunteer at David’s House events since I was in high school. I then became active on the Board of Trustees and moved more behind the scenes. David’s House families are like an extension of mine. I do not have children of my own so it only made sense that if something was to happen to me, that I would want my legacy to be left helping others. I experienced a devastating loss very close to me and learned the hard way that having a will regardless of age is important. I chose to add David’s House to mine because of all of the hard work the staff, volunteers, and community put into creating a home away from home for families in crisis. Their dedication has been an inspiration to me, along with the hundreds of families that come through David’s House annually.  This is my way of giving back.~ Amity Ollis
